The Process Behind Your Estate Sale

Free In-Home Estimate

Our service begins with a free in-home visit to perform an estate sale evaluation. We have over 30 years combined experience, an expert network as well as a extensive research library on hand. Care is taken with every item to ensure you get the maximum dollar. We advertise in newspapers locally, in state, and if necessary, New York and Boston areas. We also advertise on our website. We also list high priced items on the Internet/ Ebay to seek international bidders.

Before the Sale

Before the sale we appraise your valuable antiques, set up, display each item, advertise the sale in newspaper ads and on our website. We place signs strategically directing traffic to the sale. We obtain any required and proper permits to conduct the sale.

On the Day of Sale

On the day of the sale our Uniformed Staff will attractively display items for maximum exposure and handle all the selling from the first customer to the last. We provide tables, linens, display cases, props, etc. to set up each sale. Jewelry and other valued items will be put in a locked display case near the checkout area. There is never any worry about returns(ALL SALES ARE FINAL!), all items are sold as is.

Our clients do not have to worry about a thing because we are a full-service company. During the sale, it is not necessary for you to be present, unless you wish to do so, which is fine.

Finally - The Sale Is Underway

We will conduct the sale for 2 days in most cases, depending on quantity of items. If necessary a 3-4 day sale. We handle all sale transactions, security of valuable items, assisting customers with their purchases, answering of technical questions, loading of large items for buyers & just like a retail store, contacting of customers who have left bids. We also employ the use of a Silent Bid Process to encourage the sale of higher priced or slow moving items. Once a purchase is made we provide bags & wrapping paper and assist customers in wrapping their purchases.

Our Policy

It is our policy not to allow early-bird sales. We feel this helps the entire sale atmosphere. Everyone has the same fair opportunity at finding a treasure.

Ebay

Ebay sales are also one of our specialties. We post items on Ebay and once sold to the highest bidder, we package and ship for our clients. Payment will be made within 7 days of the auction ending. This allows the Ebay client time to send payments.

Close of the Sale

All sales areas are cleaned after the close of the sale. We also offer several options for handling items that do not sell. We can pack up items that are not wanted and donate to a local charity. Our suggestions are: The Way Station(Columbiana, Oh), The Almost New Shop(Salem, Oh), and The Second Blessing(Salem, Oh), or your choice of a charity.

Payment to Us

There are no hidden costs. We do not ask for money up front. These are based on commission and are clarified in advance in a written contract.
